China has strongly condemned the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, underlining the importance of enhanced regional cooperation to combat terrorism and safeguard regional stability.
Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Lin Jian also welcomed the U.S. decision to designate The Resistance Front (TRF) as a Foreign Terrorist Organisation (FTO). He noted that the move would play a constructive role in curbing terrorism and maintaining peace in the region.
The TRF, believed to be an offshoot of the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba, has been implicated in several terror activities in Jammu and Kashmir. The recent U.S. action and China's response signal a rare convergence between major global powers on addressing terror threats in South Asia.
